
Rest & Restore – For Friday 12-115pm

This 75-minute session will include a Restorative yoga practice and a customized
guided meditation (Yoga Nidra) for Savasana. Each session will have a customized
sequence and theme and will utilize playlist, sound or healing bowls to support the
theme.
A restorative yoga practice uses relaxation poses and props; one can relax the body to
move toward balance and harmony. The poses and props create a supportive
environment for your body, mind and spirit to rest and rejuvenate. Restorative
sequences usually include the movement of the spine in all directions, inversions with
legs higher than the heart and poses that stimulate organs and energy meridians and
the use of breath work to stimulate and balance energy within the body.
This class is all levels; with some poses offering an overall benefit and others targeted
toward specific organs or limbs. Poses may be held from 5-15 minutes and
modifications will be developed to meet your personal needs. Restorative classes are
usually down on your mat or using a wall or props to support the body.
